FAQs: How to Apply for a Grant From Hunter's Fund

Hunter’s Fund has awarded grants to young musicians, movie producers, audio engineers, neuroscientists, engineers, app developers, fashion designers, and more.

Since 2017, the Hunter Brooks Watson Memorial Fund (Hunter’s Fund) has been awarding grants and investing in young people who are passionate about music, performing arts, entrepreneurship, and computer science.

The grants distributed by Hunter’s Fund have helped more than 50 teenagers and young adults in the United States, United Kingdom, and St. Vincent and The Grenadines kickstart their futures and fulfill their dreams of creative entrepreneurship through grants from $500 to $5,000.

How are Hunter’s Fund Grants different than scholarships?

Hunter’s Fund grants are not scholarships for academic studies, but rather direct financial support to assist innovative young people in bringing their ideas and projects to fruition. There is no cost or obligation to apply. Grant applicants do not have to be enrolled in school, nor a scholar or student leader but simply have to explain through the grant application why funding is needed to move their project forward.

Grant winners have gone on to sign record deals with major labels, create successful podcasts and brands, develop mobile apps and websites, and launch nonprofit organizations.
