OUR MISSION
Hunter’s Fund empowers young people to pursue their passions—whether in the arts, music, technology, or entrepreneurship—by providing the resources and encouragement they need to explore their interests and reach their potential.
Inspired by Hunter’s legacy, we also work to prevent accidents caused by distracted driving, promoting safe driving habits and raising awareness among young people nationwide.
Every effort we undertake is guided by Hunter’s spirit—his energy, optimism, and unwavering belief in helping others shine.
OUR INSPIRATION
Hunter’s Fund was established in memory of Hunter Brooks Watson, whose vibrant life was tragically cut short in a car accident. In the aftermath of this loss, Hunter’s family and communities—from The Potomac School and Syracuse University to Mustique Island—joined together to honor his memory and keep his ideals alive.
Hunter’s Fund celebrates Hunter’s many interests by offering grants to young people in performing arts, music, computer science, and entrepreneurship, giving recipients the freedom to choose and pursue their own projects. At the same time, the Fund is dedicated to reducing distracted driving and protecting young lives on the road.
Although Hunter’s time was brief, his spirit, love, and zest for life continue to inspire countless others. The positive impact made in his name stands as a testament to how one life, well-lived, can spark hope and change for generations to come.
HUNTER’S TEAM
Hunter’s Team—formerly the Founders Committee—is a dedicated group of Hunter’s closest friends. They advance the Fund’s mission by leading fundraising efforts, reviewing and awarding grants, mentoring recipients, and organizing safe driving campaigns on school campuses.
United by the desire to honor Hunter’s legacy, Hunter’s Team ensures the Fund reflects the diverse interests and passions that defined Hunter’s life, making a lasting difference for young people everywhere.
