Host a Letter Writing Campaign for Pledges & to Raise Funds
The letter-writing campaign expands the pledge campaign by asking friends and relatives to sign their own Pledge Not to Drive Distracted.
If you are a Club, build enthusiasm, by asking every member of the club to join in signing letters to be sent to their friends and family. This will make everyone feel a part of the campaign and contribute to its success.
If you are an individual, invite your friends to join you for a pot-luck or pizza dinner and expand the Pledge campaign to their networks.
You can begin this effort by asking your friends to add names a spreadsheet of people who could be sent a letter asking to sign a Pledge – aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, neighbors and parents of friends. This can be made even easier by asking parents for a copy of the list they use for their holiday cards or special event invitations.
Plan an evening for your friends to address to sign and address the letters. Have a pot luck dinner or order pizza and have fun. One week before the letter-writing night, confirm with your friends they have their addresses ready.
Hunter's Fund will supply pre-printed letters, envelopes and postage stamps. After the letters are addressed, collect all the letters, affix a first-class stamp supplied by the Hunter Fund, and put them in the mail.
The reply envelopes are addressed to the Hunter Fund and will be processed securely. Also, a list of those who donated and the name of your person responsible will be returned to you so that you can celebrate their generosity for the cause.
